Mountain Biking Page
In an attempt to provide a mountain biking club in the valley Rossendale Road Club in conjunction with Rossendale Schools Sports Partnership, Fearns Community Sports College, Rossendale & Lancashire Childrens Trust and Rossendale Peer Group are setting up sessions on Saturday mornings based at Lee Quarry.
The club is now getting going underits own steam as ROSSENDALE ROCKY RIDERS as a section of the Road Club. We are continuing to develop and made some good contacts at the recent event held in conjunction with British Cycling. If you are interested there are 3 forms below for downloading and a contact email.
At present there are 3 leaders and 2 of whom are also BC coaches we are on the look out for other adults interested in joining us (there are grants available for training courses. (same contact email).
The Saturday morning seesions have started with a group of 13 boys and girls, the first two seesions have concentrated on learning basic skills on the pump track (very popular) and on the red route, in future weeks we will be venturing further afield.
