LE GRIM PIERRE

Start at Kay st car park, Rawtenstall. Through Bacup over Sharneyford, left to Sourhall. Over Lower Moor to Portsmouth. Right5 and left up Shore, right to Blackshaw Head, left to Slack and Hebden Bridge.

Right on A646 and 1 st right up Mytholme Steps to Blackshaw Head. Right to Jack Bridge and Slack, then left to Widdop.

Proceed to Thursden Brook, fork right, then right again to Carlson House. Left, then right and right again to Castercliff Fort. Right to return to Carlson House, left to Trawden. Right to Wyecoller and dinner stop.

Return and right to Cotton Tree and Colne. Follow A56 to Earby, turn left over Colne Edge to Blacko. Right on main road, then 2 nd left to Roughlee and Barley. Left to Newchurch and right to Sabden Fold. Right again to Padiham Heights. Right through Sabden and over ‘Nick ‘o Pendle’, left to Pendleton and left again to Wiswell.

Left on main road and left again after Whalley picnic area (ice creams?). Left then right to High House Farm. Follow around N. side of Huntroyde to drop into Padiham.

Ride toward Burnley, left at roundabout at top end of Centenary Way, 2 nd right then fork right in ¼ mile. Right after ¼ mile over level crossing to Scarecrow over Crown Point.

Right to Waterfoot, right up Turnpike to Newchurch and Rawtenstall.
